 John Hillig Fatal Fountain Valley Car Accident (Nov. 11) FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. (Nov. 14, 2018) —  John Hillig, 67, of Santa Ana, died in a collision Sunday on Harbor Boulevard, according to the Orange County Sheriff Coroner.

The crash was reported about 12:12 p.m. Hillig was behind the wheel of a Chrysler PT Cruiser that was seen traveling slowly in the northbound lanes of Harbor Boulevard prior to a minor collision near Edinger Avenue. Callers to 911 had seen the man slumped over the steering wheel of the vehicle moments before the vehicle was involved in a crash.

Paramedics rushed the man to a hospital, but later died of his injuries at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital.

The cause of the man’s death is unknown, but police are trying to determine if it was related to the crash or something else.
