John Rodriguez, 36, Hit and Injured by Vehicle on Olive Avenue

December 3, 2018 – 36-year-old John Rodriguez was badly injured after being struck by a suspected hit-and-run driver on Olive Avenue, according to ABC News and Fresno Bee.
On Sunday, just before 2 a.m., Rodriguez was reportedly standing on the sidewalk when he and an unidentified individual, wearing a Nike sweater, bumped into each other. A physical altercation then ensued, officials said.
During the brawl, the unidentified individual pushed Rodriquez, who was then thrown onto the roadway. Rodriquez was trying to get up when he was hit by a passing Chrysler 300.
The incident resulted in serious injuries to Rodriquez, who was taken by paramedics to Community Regional Medical Center. Medical records indicated Rodriguez received significant trauma to the head, underwent surgery and has remained unconscious.
Meanwhile, authorities said they are now searching for the man who knocked Rodriguez. He is believed to be a Hispanic or Samoan. Furthermore, officials said all four occupants in the Chrysler 300 could be held accountable for the hit-and-run, depending on what the investigation reveals.
