Man Dies of Injuries Suffered Months Ago in Hit-and-run Crash
SAN JOSE, Calif. (Feb. 26, 2018) — John Trong Kim Ngo, 68, of Los Gatos has died of injuries suffered in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Aug. 29 on Moorpark Avenue, according to the San Jose Mercury News.
The newspaper deliveryman, who worked for the Bay Area News Group, died over the weekend. Police have not found the hit by a driver who struck Ngo.
The report stated that Mr. Ngo was walking across Moorpark Avenue near South Monroe Street when he was struck by a dark-colored Toyota Camry or Honda sedan around 5:10 a.m. The suspect’s vehicle was likely manufactured between 2007 and 2009, San Jose police said.
Paramedics rushed the injured man to a hospital and he was later transferred to a hospital in Alameda County.
Witnesses or anyone with information about the suspect are asked to contact the San Jose Police Department at 408-277-4654.
Those of us at Johnson Attorneys Group offer our condolences to the family of Mr. Ngo as they cope with this tragedy.
The loss of a loved one in a collision such as this one is devastating on a family, but compounding their pain and suffering is the cost of medical care and support to a family. It can be even more upsetting to attempt to negotiate a fair settlement with the insurance companies who don’t typically pay up fair compensation without a fight.
