Man on Motorcycle Killed in Lancaster
LANCASTER, Calif. (May 2, 2022) – Johnny Carr, 50, of Lancaster, died in a motorcycle accident involving a car Sunday afternoon at Avenue J-8 and Division Street in Lancaster.
The crash occurred about 4:15 p.m. on May 1sth at the Lancaster intersection, according to the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station.
The man was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling northbound on Division Street and a woman driving a Nissan Sentra was heading in the opposite direction. Suddenly, the sedan turned left in front of the motorcyclist towards Avenue J-8, police said.
The motorcyclist was unable to avoid the crash with the Nissan and both vehicles collided. The rider was thrown off the bike and died at the scene.
Finally, it’s unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash, police said. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information about the crash may call traffic investigators at the Lancaster Sheriff Station at 661-948-8466.
