Johnny Carr, 50, Killed in Lancaster Crash at Avenue J-8 and Division Street

LANCASTER, CA (May 2, 2022) – A motorcycle crash killed Johnny Carr at Avenue J-8 and Division Street in Lancaster.

The coroner’s office identified the 50-year-old Lancaster man as the victim of the fatal wreck which took place on Sunday.

The incident happened when Johnny Carr was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle north on Division Street, approaching Avenue J-8, in Lancaster.

At the same time, a Nissan Sentra was going south. Deputies said the car then made a left turn at the intersection and went into the path of the rider.

Motorcycle and Car Collide

In the process, the Nissan and the motorcyclist collided. Johnny Carr ended up ejected from his motorcycle as a result of the crash.

He soon died at the scene. The Antelope Valley Times and CBS Los Angeles wrote that the accident occurred on May 1 at about 4:15 p.m.

Officers did not mention if the woman driving the Sentra sustained any injury or if she stopped following the wreck. The cause of the Lancaster crash is still under investigation.

The area of Avenue J-8 and Division Street was forced to shut down for a time following after the incident. Anyone with information can call the station at 661-948-8466.
