Man Killed in Thousand Palms Crash; 2 Injured
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, California (May 20, 2021) – Johnny Contreras, 29, of Cathedral City, died in a a car accident Friday, May 14th on Ramon Road in Thousand Palms.
According to the California Highway Patrol the crash happened about 3 p.m. on Ramon Road, just east of Vista De Oro.
The collision involved two vehicles, but there were no further details. Also, it’s unknown at this time what led up to the collision.
Johnny Contreras was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, according to the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
Meanwhile, two other people involved suffered moderate injuries in the accident. Paramedics transported both people by ambulances to local hospitals for treatment.
Finally, the CHP’s Indio station is heading up the investigation into fault for the crash.
