Motorcyclist Killed in Sacramento Crash is Identified
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (February 15, 2022) – Johnny Ray Wills, 43, died and a passenger was injured Sunday following a motorcycle accident on the Interstate 5 Freeway in the Pocket area of Sacramento.
The motorcycle occupied by two people went down in the northbound lanes of the freeway due to unknown circumstances. The deadly crash took place just north of Florin Road.
Paramedics responded to the scene just after 8:27 p.m. on Feb. 13th. First responders located the man’s body lying on the ground. Despite life-saving measures, Johnny Wills sadly succumbed to their injuries and died at the scene. The Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner identified him on their website.
The other person sustained serious injuries as a result of the wreck. An ambulance rushed the patient to a local hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate the cause of the fatal motorcycle accident on Interstate 5 Freeway in Sacramento.
