Coastline College Student Rainey Tomes Awarded $250 Scholarship by Johnson Attorneys Group
 
Rainey TomesCOSTA MESA, California (May 3, 2018) -- Coastline College student Rainey Tomes of Fountain Valley will be awarded a $250 paralegal scholarship Thursday night from Johnson Attorneys Group in Newport Beach.
 
Tomes, who says one should never stop learning, was one of 218 students to receive scholarships this evening at the annual awards. The Foundation at Coastline College will hand out 242 scholarships to deserving students for the 2018/2019 academic year for a total of $281,000. The awards, which range from $250 to $5,000, will be awarded at tonight's "Your Future Looks Bright" themed ceremony held at the Orange Coast College Robert Moore Theater.
 
The college attracts a diverse group of students with programs that include distance learning, active duty military and spouses and incarcerated students.
 
"It's important to us that we support students who work hard,” said Attorney James Johnson. “The money we invest into our community will ultimately come back to our community.”
