Coastline College Student Billie Patterson Wins $250 Paralegal Scholarship
COSTA MESA, Calif. (June 30, 2021) — Coastline College student Billie Patterson was awarded a $250 paralegal scholarship provided by Johnson Attorneys Group to the Coastline College Foundation.
The Newport Beach law firm is one of many local businesses and other entities to donate to the foundation’s 2020/2021 scholarship fund.
“As a college, we are thankful for the generosity of our donors and the diligent work of our Foundation, who have provided approximately $181,000 in scholarship funding this year,” said Rene Gutierrez, M.S. Director of Student Leadership and Global Engagement 2020-2021 Scholarship Task Force Co-Chair.
Billie Patterson was one of 273 students to receive scholarships in May at the annual awards. The Foundation at Coastline College awarded the scholarships for the 2020/2021 academic year for a total of $181,000. The awards range from $250 to $5,000 and were announced during a virtual zoom ceremony
Additionally, the college attracts a diverse group of students with programs that include distance learning, active duty military and spouses and incarcerated students.
“We are delighted to continue to support the Coastline College Foundation and local students earning their paralegal certificate,” said Attorney James Johnson. “They should be proud of their accomplishments and we wish them the best for the future.”
