Deadly Fresno Crash at Shaw and Bishop Avenues
Fresno, Calif. (Jan. 17, 2022) – Jon Luis Endara, 74, of Fresno, died during a Fresno traffic accident at Shaw and Bishop Avenue on Friday night.
The collision happened about 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 14th at the Fresno County intersection, according to ABC30 News.
A driver in a red Chevrolet Camaro traveling east on Shaw Avenue attempted to make a left onto Bishop Avenue. Meanwhile, a grey Honda Accord heading westbound on Shaw Avenue collided with the Camaro. The Camaro struck the bumper of the Honda.
During the collision, the Camaro spun around uncontrollably before hitting a Cadillac that was driving behind the Accord. Subsequently, the Camaro overturned multiple times before it came to a stop on its roof on the shoulder of the roadway, officials said.
Paramedics responded just after 8 p.m. and performed life-saving measures to the 74-year-old man driving the Camaro. Sadly, the driver later identified as Jon Luis Endara died at the scene, according to the Fresno County Sheriff Coroner.
Investigators continue to work on the case to determine fault for the crash at Shaw and Bishop avenues.
