Jonathan Friedlander, 41, Victim in Motorcycle Crash
LOCATION: Chicago Park, Nevada County
DATE OF COLLISION: Saturday, October 6th
October 8, 2018- According to The Union, Jonathan Friedlander, 41, of Auburn, has been identified as the man fatally injured in a motorcycle accident over the weekend.
The collision was reported to have occurred at 2:30 p.m. roughly at the intersection of Highway 174 and Lakewood Lane.
According to California Highway Patrol officials, Friedlander had been riding a Suzuki motorcycle northbound on Highway 174 before a woman in a Jeep Wrangler made a turn from Highway 174 onto Lakewood Lane into the path of Friedlander resulting in a collision.
Friedlander tragically did not survive the impact and was pronounced at the scene despite wearing a helmet.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Jeep had injuries but was not taken by ambulance to a hospital.
CHP officials have confirmed that neither drugs nor alcohol were factors as they continue to look into liability which remains undetermined.
