Jonathan Lopez Critically Injured in Huntington Park Hit-and-Run Crash
HUNTINGTON PARK (October 16, 2019) – A pedestrian was critically injured after an alleged hit-and-run crash in the area of Florence and Roseberry avenues early Monday.
The victim, Jonathan Lopez, was walking across Florence Avenue at Roseberry Avenue when for an unknown reason a vehicle struck him.
Lopez, who was crossing in the crosswalk at the time, was thrown across the pavement upon impact. The accident occurred on October 14 at around 1 a.m.

According to reports by NBC Los Angeles and CBS Los Angeles, paramedics responded and found the man suffering from severe injuries following the collision.
The patient was then rushed to the hospital with a major head injury, broken ribs and a broken pelvis. He was listed in critical condition and reportedly in a coma and on a ventilator.
Meanwhile, authorities affirmed that the driver involved did not stop to render aid and sped away. The suspect vehicle was described as a white cargo van with a ladder on its roof.
Authorities are still gathering more information and evidence to locate the hit-and-run motorist.
