
Jonathan Rodriguez, 19, Injured in Tehama County Car Crash
TEHAMA COUNTY, CA (March 25, 2023) – A crash left Jonathan Rodriguez injured at South Avenue and Mary Avenue in Tehama County.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 19-year-old Corning man as one of the wounded drivers in the collision on Thursday.
The incident happened when Jonathan Rodriguez was driving a 1999 Chevrolet west on South Avenue, toward Mary Avenue, in Tehama County. A 2018 Jeep was traveling in the same direction.
At the same time, a 2001 Mitsubishi was going east. CHP said for an unknown reason, the vehicles in front of the Chevrolet and Jeep suddenly slowed.
Wreck at South and Mary Avenues
In the process, the Jeep careened to the right while the Chevrolet veered to the left. The Chevrolet then collided with the Mitsubishi at the intersection.
Debris from the initial wreck hit the Jeep. The Action News Now wrote that the accident took place on March 23 shortly before 8 a.m.
Jonathan Rodriguez ended up suffering from minor injuries as a result of the crash. Paramedics arrived at the scene and provided him treatment.
The report added that the male driver of the Mitsubishi sustained moderate injuries following the collision. Medical personnel rushed him to a hospital for further aid.
Meanwhile, officers forced the area of South and Mary avenues to shut down after the accident. The cause of the Tehama County crash is still under investigation.
