Head-on Crash on Highway 29: Victims Identified

 2 Killed in Crash on Highway 29, north of St. HelenaST. HELENA, Calif. (Nov. 19, 2019) —  Jonathan Thorn, 32, of Lower Lake, and Andress Hatch, 68, of Yountville, both died early Tuesday morning in a head-on collision on Highway 29, just north of St. Helena.

The crash was reported about 2:10 a.m. on Highway 29 near Bale Lane.

Hatch was reportedly heading southbound on Highway 29 in a 2014 Chevrolet Sonic when his vehicle veered over into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into a 2010 Toyota Prius.

Thorn and Hatch both died at the scene, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The highway was closed down for nearly three hours to investigate, the CHP said.
