Jordan Grant, 18, Victim in Motorcycle Accident
LOCATION: Arroyo Grande, CA
DATE OF COLLISION: Sunday, October 7th
October 10, 2018- According to the San Luis Obispo Tribune, Jordan Grant, 18, of Plano, Texas, who was also a student a Cal Poly SLO, has been identified as the teenager fatally injured in a motorcycle accident over this past weekend.
The collision took place at around 4:50 p.m. on southbound Highway 101 near El Campo Road.
Driver of BMW Trigger Collision With Unsafe Turn
According to CHP officials, the driver of a 2018 BMW only being ID’d as a 42-year-old man from Arroyo Grande had been headed eastbound on El Campo. The motorist made a sudden turn described as “unsafe” directly into the path of Jordan Grant who had been headed south on his 2015 Yamaha triggering a collision.
The accident tragically left Grant with fatal injuries as he was pronounced at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the BMW was uninjured and not believed to be under the influence although he will still ultimately be held liable for this incident.
According to the article, the university plans on holding a memorial for the 18-year-old teen who was in his first year at the school as a computer engineering student.
