Jorge Bautista, 19, Killed in Bakersfield Crash on Copus Road
BAKERSFIELD (October 5, 2018) – A fatal traffic collision took place along Copus Road on Friday morning, according to Bakersfield Now and Kern Golden Empire.
The accident occurred at about 6:25 a.m., west of Old River Road.
As per the reports, Kern County Sheriff’s Office said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason on Copus Road. The cars involved were described as a red Honda and blue Cadillac Escalade.
A passenger in a vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as 19-year-old Jorge Santiago Bautista, of Taft.
Meanwhile, deputies did not specify if any other party was injured as a result of the crash. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
