Teen Struck on Interstate 10 Transition Road to the 710 Freeway
MONTEREY PARK, Calif. (Dec. 6, 2024) — Jorge Garcia, 16, was identified as the pedestrian who was struck and killed early Thursday on the Interstate 10 Freeway near Monterey Park.
The 16-year-old boy was identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner’s office.
A driver struck Jorge Garcia on the connector road between the westbound I-10 and the southbound I-710 freeways.
Emergency crews responded and the boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
The circumstances leading up to the tragic pedestrian accident are unknown at this time, but investigators are working on the case.
