1 Killed, 1 Injured in Hit-and-Run Collision at Manzanita Avenue and Fair Oaks Boulevard
Carmichael, CA (June 29, 2021) – Police arrested Jorge Zepeda in relation with a hit-and-run attack that occurred in the area of Manzanita Avenue and Fair Oaks Boulevard.
The Fox40 News reported a vehicle struck a man at the Carmichael intersection on June 21, Monday. Per article published online, the woman witnessed the pedestrian accident. Nicolette Harris, also known as Nikki, reportedly got out of her car and rendered aid to the victim.
While Nicolette Harris was attending to the injured pedestrian, the vehicle reportedly drove back and allegedly intentionally hit again the 69-year-old man and Nikki.
Our sources confirmed the pedestrian sadly died as a result of the incident. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities mentioned the Good Samaritan suffered injuries as a result of the crash. Paramedics arrived at the location shortly after the incident, then transported Nicolette Harris to a hospital.
Jorge Zepeda Suspect in Carmichael Deadly Pedestrian Accident
Sacramento County investigators eventually identified the suspect as Jorge Zepeda. Officials scheduled the virtual arraignment Jorge Zepeda on Wednesday.
Further investigation on the case is underway.
