The collision took place shortly before 5 p.m., west of Park Avenue.
As per the article, a statement released by Riverside County Coroner’s Office said Jose Camarillo was walking on 4th Street with his dog when the two were hit by a black Hyundai
Camarillo, of Perris, and his dog died at the scene.
Meanwhile, deputies reported that the Hyundai was going west on 4th Street when the accident occurred. The driver, a 61-year-old Perris man, stopped and cooperated with the authorities before he was hospitalized with minor injuries
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
