2-Vehicle Collision at San Jacinto Intersection
SAN JACINTO, Calif. (July 19, 2024) — Jose Cornejo Casas, 25, of Perris, died Thursday in a San Jacinto motorcycle crash at East 7th Street and South Hewitt Street.
The traffic accident occurred at around 7:39 a.m. on July 18th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials report the Hemet Police Department responded to the scene and requested Cal Fire paramedics.
Unfortunately, the young man suffered major injuries in the collision with another motorist and died at the crash scene. The Riverside County Sheriff Coroner later identified the motocyclist as Jose Cornejo Casas on its website.
The second driver suffered minor injuries, but declined an ambulance.
Tow trucks removed the vehicles and investigators are working to determine fault for the fatal San Jacinto crash on 7th Street.
