Jose Garcilazo-Campos Injured in Highway 180 Wreck

September 19, 2018- A deadly 4-car wreck was reported last night on Highway 180 leaving a man dead and at least three others injured, according to the Fresno Bee.
CHP officials responded to a call notifying them of the crash which occurred at 9:50 p.m. between an old Honda sedan, a 2006 Toyota, a 2003 GMC, and a 2016 Peterbilt semi-truck.
Rodolfo Avila Mojarro and Katia Mojarro Also Injured
Per the Fresno Bee, a 23-year-old man had been the sole occupant in the Honda traveling eastbound on Highway 180 when for unknown reasons he veered into westbound lanes triggering the initial crash with the Toyota occupied by Rodolfo Avila Mojarro and Katia Mojarro.
Just moments later, Jose Garcilazo-Campos, 64, of Mendota, the driver of the GMC, struck the Honda in westbound lanes pushing the Honda back into eastbound lanes where it was struck by the 2016 Peterbilt head eastbound.
The aftermath of the wreck left Garcilazo-Campos, Avila Mojarro, and Katia Mojarro all with injuries while the 23-year-old Honda driver sadly did not survive and was pronounced at the scene.
Meanwhile, the Peterbilt driver was uninjured.
No further details have been provided at this time as the investigation is currently ongoing.

California Highway Patrol will carry out a forensic examination of all vehicles involved, as well as photos that were taken of the scene, will help investigators draw up a firm conclusion for what happened. While it appears that the driver of the Honda will be held fully responsible for causing the accident, authorities will thoroughly look into how fast each driver was going, whether or not alcohol or drugs were involved, whether or not there were any mechanical issues with either vehicle, whether or not one of the drivers ran a red light or simply did not yield to the right of way motorist. The investigation will also consist of looking at measurements of evidence left by the vehicles such as point of impact, final resting positions of each vehicle, skid marks, and gouge marks.
In such cases where negligence or wrongdoing may have been a factor, Jose Garcilazo-Campos, as well as the others injured motorists, will be granted the right to file a personal injury lawsuit against the driver who caused the collision.
