Fatal Hit-and-Run Collision on 11th Street
Tracy, CA (March 19, 2023) – José Luis Gonzalez Almazan, a 50-year-old man, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on 11th Street on February 27, Monday.
The Tracy Press News reported Almazan attempted to walk across 11th just west of El Portal Street. While in the middle of the roadway, a passing Hyundai Sonata struck the man. The horrible crash took place at approximately 7 p.m.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Tracy
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found the pedestrian suffering in serious injuries. Paramedics attended to the victim but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and eventually passed away. The Tracy Police Public Information recently released the name of the deceased as José Luis Gonzalez Almazan.
The article published online mentioned the car involved in the horrible crash fled the scene. Police later located the vehicle in the Bay Area. However, the hit-and-run suspect remained at-large.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the deadly pedestrian accident that happened on 11th Street in Tracy.
