Jose Ibarra Killed in Crash with Street Sweeper in Winchester
Two-Vehicle Crash in Winchester Near Prairie Loop Road
WINCHESTER, Calif., (March 27, 2026) — Jose Ibarra, 62, of Winchester, died Thursday morning when his a red Toyota Tacoma crashed into the back of a street sweeper on Domenigoni Parkway near Prairie Loop Road in Winchester.
The man was identified by the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s office.
The two-vehicle collision occurred around 6:01 a.m. on March 26th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities say the pickup truck crashed into the back of the street sweeper, sheering off the cab of the smaller truck.
Sadly, Jose Ibarra died at the scene, but his passenger survived with moderate injuries and was taken to a hospital.
Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. They are urging any witnesses to contact the San Gorgonio CHP office at 951-846-5300.
