Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near Crows Landing Road
Turlock, CA (June 7, 2022) – Jose Mendez-Alonzo, a 38-year-old man, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on West Main Street.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident on West Main Street in Turlock
The Modesto Bee News reported a vehicle struck a male party in the area near Crows Landing Road early Wednesday. According to the article published online, the driver of the Chrysler PT Cruiser was heading east on West Main Street. The motorist was not able to notice the pedestrian walking on the roadway, and accidentally hit him. The force from the impact resulted in serious injuries to the pedestrian. Despite life-saving measures performed by paramedics, the victim sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office later identified the deceased as Jose Mendez-Alonzo.
Meanwhile, the driver involved in the unfortunate event reportedly stayed at the scene. Detectives handling the case continue to investigate liability in the deadly accident on West Main Street.
