Rider Dies in Collision at East Hueneme Road and Arcturus Avenue
Oxnard, CA (April 12, 2022) – Jose Miranda, a 26-year-old man, suffered fatal injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of East Hueneme Road and Arcturus Avenue.
The Ventura County Star News reported Miranda was riding a motorcycle traveling east on Hueneme Road. When the motorcyclist drove through the intersection, they collided into a semi truck. Per article published online, the truck was turning left from Hueneme Road onto Arcturus Avenue when the crash happened.
Shortly after 11:08 a.m, rescue teams arrived at the site. First responders found the rider unconscious. Despite life-saving measures, the victim sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased as Jose Miranda, of Oxnard.
Meanwhile, officials mentioned the driver of the semi appeared unharmed after the incident.
Detectives said the precise cause of the deadly accident remained unknown. Given that, investigators continue to gather several information surrounding the unfortunate event at Hueneme Road and Arcturus Avenue.
