Major Head-On Collision Near Walnut Avenue
Camarillo, CA (May 31, 2023) – Jose Rosas, a 31-year-old man, suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 118 Freeway Tuesday, May 30.
The KTLA5 News reported a 60-year-old man was driving a 2004 Saturn Vue heading east on I-118. In the area near Walnut Avenue, the driver of the Saturn attempted to pass another vehicle. Our sources indicated the 2004 Saturn veered into the opposite lane but failed to pass the other vehicle.
According to the article published online, the 2004 Saturn ended up colliding head-on into a 2002 Saturn driven by Jose Rosas. The force from the impact resulted in significant damages to both Saturn cars.
1 Hospitalized After Car Accident on 118 Freeway in Camarillo
Medical personnel responded to the crash site shortly after 8:45 p.m. and checked the conditions of all parties involved in the accident. After the evaluation, paramedics transported Rosas, of Oxnard, to Los Robles Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.
Authorities added the other motorist was taken to St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital with minor wounds.
At this time, detectives continue to gather information to determine several unclear factors surrounding the car crash that happened on 118 Freeway in Camarillo.
