Teen Killed in Wasco Car Accident is Identified
WASCO, Calif. (Sept. 14, 2021) — Jose Juan Rosas Jr., 18, of Wasco, died in a crash at Sherwood Avenue and Wildwood Road Friday morning involving two semi-trucks and a car.
According to the California Highway Patrol the deadly crash happened at 7:14 a.m.
It’s unknown what led up to the collision between a Mazda coupe and the trucks. Firefighters and paramedics responded to help those involved.
However, Jose Rosas Jr. died at the scene immediately following the collision.
Wasco Truck Crash on Sherwood Avenue
A semi truck hauling pistachios spilled its load including the nuts and diesel fuel into the roadway.
Police closed down a portion of Wildwood Road due to the vehicles blocking the roadway.
Investigators seek to determine the cause of the Wasco crash on Sherwood Avenue. Witnesses may contact the CHP.
