Jose Sandoval, 83, Killed in San Jose Crash at McKee and El Rancho Verde
SAN JOSE (January 11, 2019) – An elderly pedestrian killed after a traffic accident in the area of McKee Road and El Rancho Verde Drive Monday has been identified as Jose Sandoval, according to The Mercury News.
The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office said the 83-year-old San Jose man was a victim of a tragic collision which occurred on January 7 at about 6:40 p.m.
As per the article, police said Sandoval was pushing a shopping cart on McKee Road when he was hit by a 2000 Mazda 626.

The car was traveling west through the intersection when it hit the pedestrian, who was in a crosswalk at the time of the crash.
Sandoval was immediately transported to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver of the Mazda reportedly stopped after hitting the elderly man and cooperated with the authorities. The incident remains under investigation.
