Major Traffic Collision Near Ehlers Lane
St. Helena, CA (February 14, 2023) – Jose Tovar, a 75-year-old man, suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route Highway 29, the Napa Valley Register News reported.
Our sources indicated two vehicles collided head-on near Ehlers Lane in St. Helena. Preliminary investigation revealed Tovar, of Calistoga, was behind the wheel of a 2006 Hyundai Sonata heading south on SR-29. When the Hyundai approached the area near Ehlers, a northbound 2020 Toyota C-HR veered into the opposite lane and slammed head-on into the Hyundai.
The crash took place Tuesday morning, February 14.
At Least 1 Badly Hurt in St. Helena Car Accident
Shortly after 6:10 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics found the driver of the Hyundai suffering in serious injuries. According to the article published online, medical personnel transported the victim to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center for further treatment and evaluation. Authorities later identified the patient as Jose Tovar.
Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine the precise cause of the major accident that happened on Highway 29 in St. Helena.
