Jose Villalobos Killed in Hit-and-run Bicycle Accident in South Los Angeles

Bicyclist Struck, Killed at Century Boulevard and San Pedro Street

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (June 3, 2025) – Jose Villalobos, 34, was struck and killed Sunday night in a hit-and-run crash at Century Boulevard and San Pedro Street in South Los Angeles.

The victim’s name was released by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office.

Driver Hits Cyclist on Century Boulevard

Authorities are working to locate the suspect who struck the 34-year-old man around 11:10 p.m. on Sunday, June 1st in the Broadway-Manchester area of South LA, according to the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.

Investigators working on the case believe the bicycle rider and the driver in the car were both traveling westbound on Century Boulevard prior to the crash. It’s unknown what caused the vehicle to hit Jose Villalobos. However, the driver failed to stop after the collision as required under California law.

At this time, there was no description of the suspect’s vehicle.
