Joselyn Sloan, 18; and Dalton Carter, 22, Seriously Injured in Imperial County Crash
IMPERIAL COUNTY, CA (September 26, 2022) – A fatal crash seriously injured Joselyn Sloan and Dalton Carter Highway on Highway 115 in Imperial County.
The California Highway Patrol identified the Buckeye, Arizona residents as victims of the wreck which took place last week on Friday.
The incident happened when Joselyn Sloan was driving a black 2015 Dodge Challenger with Dalton Carter and another man on Highway 115 in Imperial County.
A Ford F-550 going north on the highway then made a left turn onto Keystone Road. In the process, the Dodge swerved to the right and off the roadway.
Man, 22, Killed in Wreck
CHP said the action caused the Challenger to roll over several times. The Desert Review wrote that the accident on September 23 at around 1:30 p.m.
Joselyn Sloan, 18; and Dalton Carte, 22, sustained major injuries as a result of the Imperial County crash. An air ambulance flew the woman to the Desert Memorial Hospital treatment.
A ground ambulance rushed her passenger to the Pioneer’s Memorial Hospital for further aid. The third occupant of the Dodge, a 22-year-old man, died at the scene of the collision.
CHP did not mention if the driver of the Ford ended up hurt following the wreck. Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Highway 115 and Keystone Road to shut down for a time after the incident.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
