Joseph Atkins and Wife Injured in 15 Freeway Crash Near Carroll Canyon Road
SAN DIEGO (August 3, 2018) – Several vehicles collided Friday afternoon on the Interstate 15 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol group.
Primary reports indicated a late model white Toyota was seen driving across all lanes prior to the crash. While swerving, the Toyota reportedly struck a minivan heading north on the interstate.

Shortly after the incident was logged at 3:38 p.m., medical personnel responded to the location and attended to the parties involved. Officials identified one victim as Joseph Atkins. As per the dispatch, Atkins and his wife were transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital for treatment of what appeared to be minor injuries.
The CHP is investigating the incident as a hit-and-run collision, but no immediate information was discussed on the identity and possible whereabouts of the suspect. Further investigation on the case is underway.
