Driver Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on I-10 Freeway
BLYTHE, Calif. (June 5, 2018) — Joseph Aulov, 39, of Phoenix, Arizona, was identified as the victim of a collision that took place Tuesday morning between two motorists on the Interstate 10 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash took place about 1:58 a.m., just east of Wileys Well. The surviving driver told CHP officers that the other motorist cut him off and he hit the vehicle. One of the vehicles went off the roadway. The victim who died was alone in the vehicle at the time of the collision. Police closed down two lanes of the freeway to investigate the crash. All lanes reopened about 4:25 a.m. this morning.

Police are investigating this collision to determine fault. At this time, there are many unanswered questions such as whether or not speed, alcohol or distractions were factors.
