Suspect Hit-and-run Driver Sought by LAPD for Chatsworth Man’s Death
CHATSWORTH, Calif. (Nov. 1, 2017) – Joseph Cobb, 66, of Chatsworth died in a hit-and-run pedestrian collision Tuesday night in the 20600 block of Lassen Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The Halloween night fatality was reported about 9 p.m.
The suspect motorist who fled the scene of the 9 p.m. crash is being sought by police. There is no description of the suspect driver, but they were in a 2014 Kia Optima with a black top.
The victim was transported to a hospital where he later died.
There is a reward offered by the city of Los Angeles of up to $50,000 for information leading to the identification, apprehension and
conviction, or “resolution through a civil compromise” of the suspect hit-and-run motorist. Witnesses or anyone with information may call LAPD Detective William Bustos at (818) 644-8021, or (877) LAPD-247.
