Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Pacific Highway

Mission Valley, CA (February 27, 2023) – Joseph Michael Jorge Jacoby, a 38-year-old male, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Pacific Highway, the FOX5 News reported.

On February 14, Tuesday, Jacoby was struck by a vehicle in the 4800 block of Pacific Highway in Mission Valley. Officials mentioned the man was walking across the street when the driver of an oncoming vehicle did not notice and hit him.

Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Mission Valley

Emergency crews arrived at the scene shortly after 6:52 p.m. According to the article published online, paramedics attempted to revive the victim but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Officer later identified the deceased as Joseph Michael Jorge Jacoby.

Authorities mentioned the driver involved in the unfortunate event stayed and cooperated with the investigation process. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine liability in the deadly accident that happened on Pacific Highway in Mission Valley.
