Joseph Mantua, 47, Suspect in Fatal DUI Collision on Highway 1
Valley Ford, CA (April 12, 2021) – 47-year-old Joseph Mantua suffered injuries following a traffic accident on Highway 1 Saturday night, the Press Democrat News reported.
Preliminary investigation revealed three automobiles collided on Highway 1 near Valley Ford Road.
According to the article published online, Joseph Mantua was behind the wheel of a Dodge traveling on Highway 1. Officials believed Joseph Mantua lost control of the car, and eventually careened into the opposite side. The Dodge ended up crashing head-on into the Nissan Frontier. Shortly after the first collision, an oncoming Ford Ranger failed to slow down and slammed into the stalled Dodge and Nissan.

Our sources later confirmed the driver of the Nissan died as a result of the incident. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Meanwhile, authorities said they transported Joseph Mantua to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment of major injuries. Police later arrested Joseph Mantua on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Additional details on the horrible crash have not been revealed thus far. Given that, detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate several factors surrounding the unfortunate event in Valley Ford.
