Man Fatally Struck by Dump Truck on Monterey Highway
SAN JOSE (July 19, 2018) – Joseph Moreno has been identified as the 71-year-old San Jose man who was struck by a dump truck and killed Thursday afternoon on Monterey Highway, according to the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner and the San Jose Mercury News.
The victim had been pushing a shopping cart through a parking lot on the 1900 block of Monterey Highway when the accident happened at the Sims Metal Management facility.
The man was run over by the truck, but the driver stopped and called 911. Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene of the collision.
