Motorcyclist Killed in Crash Leaves Behind Wife, 3 Children
VICTORVILLE, Calif. (May 25, 2018) — Josh Lozano, 29, of Victorville has died in a motorcycle crash on the Interstate 15 Freeway, according to the Victor Valley News.
The young man, who is married and the father of three boys, was traveling with a group of motorcyclists on May 16th driving in a staggered formation near Oak Hill Road when he reportedly lost control of the bike and was struck by another motorcycle. The 44-year-old rider on a 2012 Yamaha Estar was unable to avoid the collision with Lozano’s bike.
The collision took place about 12:01 a.m. Paramedics rushed the injured man by air ambulance to Loma Linda University Medical Center where he later died four days later due to a severe brain injury.
Lozano’s wife Karen and three boys, Gary, 13, Ryan, 9, and Leonydus, 8, have established a Go Fund Me site to help offset the cost of funeral and other expenses in the wake of this tragedy.
The crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Victorville Office. Witnesses may contact police at (760)241)-1186.
Fatal Accident Investigation
Police are investigating this collision to determine fault. At this time, it appears that either one or both riders could be at fault. Police are looking into why the rider lost control of his bike? Were other riders traveling too close? Was there any contact between motorcycles prior to the collision? Was a dangerous road condition a factor? Drugs and or alcohol? When two motorists are involved in a collision, one or both could share the blame and ultimately liability for the loss.
If a negligent driver or another entity is at fault for a collision resulting in injuries to you or a loved one, there may be grounds for a personal injury or wrongful death claim.
