Joshua Brown, 32, Killed in Baldwin Hills Hit-and-Run at La Cienega and Obama
LOS ANGELES, CA (March 4, 2022) – A hit-and-run crash killed Joshua Brown at La Cienega and Obama boulevards in Baldwin Hills.
Family members identified the 32-year-old Lancaster man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Friday.
The incident happened when Joshua Brown was crossing the intersection of La Cienega and Obama boulevards in the Baldwin Hills neighborhood.
Police said a vehicle struck him as he walked in the crosswalk. The FOX 11 News and NBC Los Angeles wrote that the accident occurred at about 1:30 a.m.
Driver Hits Pedestrian, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the pedestrian down on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver did not stop to render aid to the man and then fled northbound on La Cienega.
Officers are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect who left Joshua Brown in the roadway. The cause of the Baldwin Hills hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
