Cyclist Dies in Hit-and-Run Collision on Los Berros Road
San Luis Obispo County, CA (May 17, 2022) – Joshua Thomas Edward Mcfarland, a 19-year-old Nipomo resident, suffered fatal injuries following a traffic crash that occurred on Los Berros Road on May 12.
According to KEYT News, Mcfarland was riding a bicycle heading south on Los Berros. When the cyclist approached the area near El Campo Road, a black Jeep SUV struck the rear of the bike. The force from the impact found Mcfarland overthrown onto the righthand shoulder of the road.
Fatal Bicycle Accident in San Luis Obispo County
Emergency crews arrived at the location shortly after 11:20 p.m. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the victim but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The California Highway Patrol group identified the deceased as Joshua Thomas Edward Mcfarland.
Meanwhile, the article published online mentioned the black Jeep SUV continue driving after the collision. Officials later identified and located the hit-and-run suspect.
Further investigation is ongoing on the deadly bicycle accident on Los Berros Road in San Luis Obispo County.
