DUI Hit-and-Run Driver Joshua Ramage, 41, Injures Bicyclists in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 5, 2021) – Authorities detained Joshua Ramage after a DUI hit-and-run crash in Bakersfield.
Police determined that the 41-year-old man was under the influence when he struck two bicyclists on Saturday night.
The incident happened when Joshua Ramage was driving near the intersection of Stockdale Highway and California Avenue in Bakersfield.
At the same time, Doug Allmon and Lisa Brown were riding their bicycles in the area. Police Joshua Ramage approached and then hit the victims and their bikes with his vehicle.

Kern Golden Empire wrote that the collision took place on May 1 at around 9:15 p.m. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found both cyclists hurt as a result of the crash.
Medical personnel rushed the riders to a hospital and listed Doug Allmon in critical condition. He underwent surgery while Lisa Brown survived the accident with non-life threatening injuries.
Family members of Allmon set up a GoFundMe page to cover his current and future medical bills. Meanwhile, police affirmed that Ramage did not stop to help the bicyclists and sped away.
Officers soon located and arrested him. They charged him with DUI resulting in injuries and hit-and-run involving serious bodily injury. The Bakersfield DUI hit-and-run collision is still under investigation.
