Man, 32, Killed in Crash in Rialto
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. (March 22, 2023) — Joshua Thompson, 32, of Fontana, was struck and killed in a pedestrian accident Saturday on North Riverside Avenue in Rialto.
The collision occurred around 6:35 p.m. on Saturday, March 11th, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Pedestrian Struck on Riverside Avenue
The Rialto Police Department responded to North Riverside Avenue at Locust Avenue and located the injured man in the roadway. It’s unknown at this time if the man was crossing in the marked crosswalk that is controlled by traffic lights on both Riverside and Locust avenues.
Paramedics transported Joshua Thompson to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries around 7:44 p.m. the same day.
The Rialto Police Department is heading up the investigation into what happened and will determine fault for the Rialto pedestrian accident.
