Josselyn Basillo, 18, Injured in Fatal Car Crash on North Davis Road Saturday
SALINAS, Ca (January 13, 2020) – One teenager died, and several others suffered injuries following a solo-vehicle accident on North Davis Road Saturday.
Authorities identified one of the injured parties as 18-year-old Josselyn Basillo.
According to the Californian News, Basillo was a passenger in a vehicle driven by an unidentified 15-year-old. Officials believed the teenager was speeding, and apparently driving without a permit or licence, when they lost control of the vehicle and crashed.
Emergency teams arrived at the location shortly after 12:55 a.m. and found the Mitsubishi Montero upside down near the intersection at Auto Center Circle.

Our sources confirmed a 15-year-old passenger in the Montero died as a result of the wreck.
Furthermore, Basillo suffered a head injury and general complaint of pain in the collision. In addition, a 15-year-old passenger complained of neck pain, and a 13-year-old passenger complained of leg pain.
The driver reportedly suffered a head injury in the accident, the Salinas police mentioned.
Further investigation on the case is underway.
