Motorcyclist Josue Jimenez, 21, Killed in Lancaster Accident
LANCASTER (June 7, 2018) – A motorcyclist was killed after a traffic collision in the area of Avenue J and 37th Street East on Wednesday night, according to The Antelope Valley Times.
The coroner’s office identified the deceased as 21-year-old Josue Jimenez, of Palmdale.
As per the article, Lancaster Sheriff’s Station said Jimenez was riding a motorcycle east on Avenue J in the No. 1 lane approaching 37th Street East when at the same time a Toyota Avalon also headed east was stopped at the curb at 37th Street East.

The female driver of the Avalon made a U-Turn from the curb line into the path of Jimenez who reportedly braked hard but was unable to avoid the car. The rider collided with the driver side of the Toyota.
Deputies affirmed that Jimenez was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident took place at around 8:39 p.m.
Meanwhile, it was not specified in the report whether or not the female motorist was injured or stopped following the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
