Driver Missing After Fatal Car Accident on Highway 132 Sunday
Stanislaus County, CA (February 7, 2022) – Jovany Serrano-Caballero, and Saul Garcia suffered fatal injuries following a suspected hit-and-run crash that occurred on Highway 132 early Sunday.
The East Bay Times News reported 23-year-old Serrano-Caballero; and 36-year-old Garcia were passengers in a 2011 GMC pickup traveling in the westbound side of the freeway. For an unknown reason, the driver allowed the car to drift off the roadway.
According to the article published online, the GMC struck a series of trees along SR-132. The vehicle came to a rest just east of the San Joaquin River.

Emergency crews arrived at the location shortly after 2:30 a.m. Responding paramedics reportedly found two adult male passengers unconscious in the GMC. Despite life-saving measures, both parties sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. Authorities later confirmed the names of the deceased as Jovany Serrano-Caballero from Hayward; and Saul Garcia from San Jose.
Meanwhile, officials said the driver of the GMC fled the scene. No immediate information was available on the possible hit-and-run suspect.
Further investigation on the horrible crash is ongoing.
