Juan Amaya Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash Avenue 19 Near Glendale Junction

Pedestrian Killed in Lincoln Heights Collision is ID’d

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (March 10, 2025) – Juan Amaya, 46, was struck and killed Friday in a hit-and-run crash at Avenue 19 and Humboldt Street near the Glendale Junction, just west of Lincoln Heights.

The deadly crash occurred around 12:30 a.m. on March 7th, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The 46-year-old man was struck by a vehicle and suffered traumatic injuries, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office report.

Los Angeles police spoke to witnesses who saw the pedestrian crossing Avenue 19 when he was hit by the motorist. The driver drove away from the crash site and failed to stop.

Paramedics responded, but Juan Amaya was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are working on the case and searching for the suspect involved in the crash.
