Juan Beltran, 51, Critically Injured in South Los Angeles Hit-and-Run on 49th Street
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (February 22, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash critically injured Juan Beltran along 49th Street in South Los Angeles.
Police identified the 51–year-old Los Angeles man as the victim in the accident which occurred on Sunday morning.
The incident happened on February 21 when Juan Beltran was crossing in the 1100 block of East 49th Street. At the same time, a vehicle was driving down the residential area of the Central-Alameda.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the site and found Juan Beltran left lying in the roadway. He suffered multiple blunt force traumas as a result of the crash.
Medical personnel rushed him to Los Angeles County USC Medical Center and listed him in critical condition. The victim is a father of six and a local pastor.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to Beltran and soon fled the scene. Officers described the suspect car as a green 2004 to 2009 Toyota Prius.
The Toyota Prius obtained severe damage to its front windshield following the accident. Authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run driver.
