Caruthers Fatal Car Crash at Kamm and Marks Avenues

Man Killed in Car Accident at Kamm and Marks is Identified

CARUTHERS, Calif. (September 16, 2020) – Juan Cervantes Morales, 66, of Kerman, died in a collision Saturday at Kamm and Marks avenues.

The collision took place after a 1996 Toyota Corolla driven west on Kamm Avenue by Morales approached a stop sign at Marks Avenue.

Police reported that Morales failed to stop and drove through the crossing where he was hit by a northbound 2015 Chevrolet pickup pulling a loaded cattle-trailer, according to Your Central Valley News.

The truck crashed into the driver’s side of the Toyota and caused fatal injuries to the driver of that car. Paramedics pronounced Morales dead on scene.

The Chevrolet pickup truck driver had minor injuries and was treatment at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by police.
