Juan Cordova Seriously Injured, Priscilla Hernandez Killed in Rialto Car Crash
RIALTO, CA (June 12, 2022) – A DUI crash killed Priscilla Hernandez and seriously injured Juan Cordova at Riverside Avenue and Third Street in Rialto.
Police identified the two Colton residents as the victims of the fatal collision which took place on Wednesday night.
The incident happened when Juan Cordova was driving a 2011 Chevrolet HHR with Priscilla Hernandez as his passenger in Rialto. They were going east on Third Street.
At the same time, a black 2018 Mercedes C63 was traveling at a high rate of speed north on Riverside Avenue. Police said the Mercedes then slammed into the Chevrolet in the intersection.
Speeding DUI Driver Hits Another Car
The Fontana Herald News wrote that the accident occurred on June 8 at about 9:15 p.m. in the 300 block of North Riverside Avenue.
Both Juan Cordova and Priscilla Hernandez Hernandez sustained significant injuries as a result of the crash. Paramedics rushed them to the hospital, where the 40-year-old woman died.
Medical personnel took the speeding driver for treatment of minor wounds. Police believed that he was under the influence of alcohol when he hit the victims.
