Truck Driver Hurt in Collision Near Interstate 5
Bakersfield, CA (September 9, 2022) – Juan Ledezma, a 43-year-old ma, suffered injuries following a traffic crash that occurred on Copus Road.
According to an article published online by KGET, a 2004 Ford collided with a semi truck in the westbound side of Copus Road. Officials said the horrible crash took place approximately one mile west of Interstate 5 Freeway. Our sources indicated the driver of the Ford attempted to pass a big rig on Copus Road. When the Ford tried to merge back into the westbound side of the road, the driver lost control of the car. Officials said the vehicle veered off the road and flipped over.
Shortly after 6:48 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics rendered aid to all parties found at the scene. Medical personnel determined the driver of the truck, Juan Ledezma, suffered injuries in the accident. An ambulance transported the 43-year-old male patient to a hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
Several factors surrounding the incident remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the fatal crash that happened on Copus Road in Bakersfield.
